You know that feeling where everything feels right? Where you don't have to worry about tomorrow or yesterday, where you feel safe and know you're doing the best you can? There's a word for that, it's called love. L-O-V-E.
- Akeelah and the Bee
There was this movie showing on Astro yesterday evening on Star Movies called 'Akeelah and the Bee' (Read Synopsis). Although it is a old show and probably this is the third time I've watched it on Astro (what else is new hey?) there was a lot of things that I realised I had missed out in the whole movie. And one was the quote (above) towards the end of the movie. When I heard that quote again it just made sense and how I should have written this post that I started writing since last week.
It seems that lately all everyone can ever talk about is Love. When I'm on the road and listening to the radio endless love songs are being played on LiteFm and RedFM, and it all seems that the whole world knew that I had lost love just recently. Every where I turned people reminded me of what it feels to be in love and to be honest I have not forgotten it at all. If anything, love hasn't left my side yet and i still believe in it. But this post isn't about me, no no... I know of some one who has forgotten what Love is and what it really felt like to be Loved by some one. She has been questioning love and the real value of love.
Why couldn't Love be as simple as a fairy tale where they lived happily ever after at the end of the day.
I think for a lot of people this is ideally what they would want. To find some one, fall in love, get married and start a family together and yes I admit that for some people it is just that easy for them. Sounds like mail order brides and grooms hey? Better yet, have your mum match make you with some boy down the street because he's single and available. Is that really what you want? To pretend that you're in love with that person and spend the rest of your life lying to yourself that you love the man beside you. No, I think you really deserve better than that and you deserve to be in love.
Everyone deserves a chance to fall in love and be loved
Everyone deserves a chance to fall in love and be loved. What makes you any different from all of us. Yes, I know in your experience you've met and fallen in love with men who you thought was the right one and you got hurt in the process. We all make mistakes and we all learn from it but never shut out love in your heart. When things couldn't have gotten any worse you suddenly hear love calling your name. Yeah it called out for you. Why do you think you're confused. Then you realise that love is just standing right in front of you waiting for your to fall so that he can catch you. I believe that you have already met him. Don't need to introduce him right? You know him well enough. He's the one who would always be there for you when you need him and all you had to do was call him. He's the one crazy enough to drive all the way to your place to just pick you up to just go out. He's the one crazy enough to go out of the way just to be with you. Remember him now?? He sure as hell believes that you deserve some thing better and that he can give you all that.
To fall for some one is easy but to fall in love is harder
To fall for some one is easy but to fall in love is harder, why? Is it because you don't trust love or him? Or is it because that you find yourself in love with him but scared of getting hurt? How did you come to make a note that falling in love is harder? It is because of your thoughts up in your head that makes it complicated when you should actually be listening to your heart. He will protect you. Heck he has even given you the most powerful promise he has ever given to anyone. He promised you a life time.
How do I know that he can give you the love you have always wanted and yearned for? At the start of this post is a quote that should have already answered your questions. Isn't that what you feel when you are with him?
I know I have not exactly answered your question except point out the obvious to you, the rest you have already experienced it yourself. Remember this, love causes people to do silly things that seems to be really stupid to others. You've seen it with your own eyes in him. Is it possible to be loved by two people at one time? Why not? It's happening now but at the end of the day you would have to choose. You can't have both. It sucks but at the end of day you will realise that of the two one really stands out. Never judge love just because you got hurt, remember you got hurt by a person and not love. To everyone reading this, understand that too. Don't point your fingers at love, the person who had hurt you took love for granted and used it to hurt you. I now understand that for myself and I do regret for not loving the one person as much as I could have given. In the bible this is what it says about love:Is it a job? Do i get paid? You will fall in love with me without my doing. It should be that way otherwise what is love.
In another words loving some one is never having to say sorry to each other. I will not tell you how to love a person nor do I have answers to everything about love. Would you believe it that 4 (very) silly letters could form a word with a meaning so powerful that not even money can buy it over. L-O-V-E! True ain't it? Love is the most powerful feeling/emotion any human can possibly feel and yet we still don't understand it. You and I know of some one claiming that they know the game of Love and have experience in it, but they themselves take love for granted and end up hurting people. If you are ever reading this I know what happened and you're just as much as a hypocrite than you think you are and I really hope that you do read this one day.Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails... And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
If anything all of us have to take chances. Jump before anyone tells you to jump (go sky diving). Have you watched Hitch before? At the end of the movie he said some thing which I have always kept in mind always.
I will leave that for all of you to think. And to the person reading this that has given up on Love, remember that love never deserted you and if you don't take chances and jump you will never know. You'd end up wondering every day what if. There isn't a what if in our time.Because that's what people do. They leap, and hope to God they can fly, because otherwise you just drop like a rock, wondering the whole way down, why in the *hell* did I jump? But here I am, Sarah, falling, and the only one that makes me feel like I can fly... is you.

Believe that true love does exist. Express your true feelings to the one you love. Appreciate. Accept each other unconditionally. Respect each other.
